Description

This Elm bowl is turned from seasoned English Elm and has some lovely figuring on it. The Elm bowl is turned and sealed with sanding sealer and then sanded down from 240 grit, through the grades to 1000 grit. Two coats of Yorkshire grit paste wax is then applied, buffing between each coat. Then two coats of Hampshire Sheen High Gloss is applied, again buffing between coats. A further two coats of Chestnut friction polish is then applied buffing between the coats. This gives a hard wearing durable finish while still retaining the natural feel of the wood. Wooden bowls should not be put in an oven or washed in a dishwasher. They can be cleaned by wiping with a damp dishcloth only.

Wood is a natural material and the colour and grain of the wood will differ. This is what makes each bowl unique!
